Pinewood & Stour Valley Labour Party Branch Meeting

Now that the dust has settled following the General Election and the Suffolk County Council election we hoped that we might have a ‘Summer Recess’. Well, we have sort of I suppose, but there is now another election in the offing. A Conservative Babergh District Councillor in the Sudbury area has resigned sparking a by-election. In 2015 the Labour candidate lost by only 15 votes, so with the upsurge of Labour support we must have a good chance of winning the by-election. Also, with Theresa May and co. hanging onto power by their fingertips we cannot discount the possibility of another General Election! To review our election campaigns and get ideas for future campaigning we are having a Branch Meeting on 17th July. See below for details of this and other items of interest.

Pinewood & Stour Valley Branch Meeting: 17th July 19:30 to 21:30 at Pinewood Community Centre - Laburnum Close

We would like have a good turnout for this meeting. We will be reviewing our election campaigns and hope to have our South Suffolk Labour Candidate Emma Bishton as a guest speaker. We will also be holding raffle and selling teas and coffees to help with fund raising as the South Suffolk funds are running low following the two campaigns.
