On Tuesday 3 January, passengers in xxxx will face another hike in rail fare prices. For many
it will be their first day back at work, and whilst their commute is costing them more every
year, wages aren’t rising at the same rate.
For many in xxxx, travelling by train isn’t a luxury, it’s how they get to work every day.
But since the Tories came to power rail fares have rocketed by 27 percent.
We can’t go on like this. Labour has a different approach and will bring railways into public
ownership. This means fairer fares, investment in a 21st century railway and a railway run for
passengers not profit.
